Balmer Lawrie celebrated its 160th Foundation Day at Eco Park, Kolkata, marking a significant milestone in the Company’s long and distinguished journey of service and nation-building. The celebrations were attended by the Board of Directors, employees and their families. The function was inaugurated by Mr. Adhip Nath Palchaudhuri, Chairman & Managing Director, Balmer Lawrie. As Balmer Lawrie enters its 160th year, the Company, rooted in strong values and an inclusive culture, continues to grow with purpose, guided by its core values of Excellence, Trust, Agility, Collaboration and Responsibility.
Balmer Lawrie Logistics participated in the India International Cargo Show (IICS) at Mumbai from 10th to 12th December 2025. A stall was put up to showcase Balmer Lawrie’s capabilities in providing end-to-end logistics solutions. The event was a great platform for connecting with customers, airline partners, shipping lines and global collaborators.
The UN Global Compact Network India (UNGCNI) hosted its 20th National Convention in collaboration with Balmer Lawrie & Co. Ltd. on 12th December 2025 at The Westin Kolkata. Mr. Adhip Nath Palchaudhuri, C&MD is the Vice President of the Eastern Region of UNGCNI and was the Convenor of the National Convention this year. Against the backdrop of a world racing to achieve climate and development goals, the event brought together some of India’s brightest minds to answer one critical question: how finance can catalyse climate action and inclusive growth, under the theme ‘Financing a Sustainable Future: Aligning Capital with Climate, Equity, and Growth’.
Balmer Lawrie participated in the 4th Edition of the Manufacturing Conclave 2025 organised by The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM), Eastern Region on 21st November 2025 at Kolkata. Mr. R. M. Uthayaraja, Director [Manufacturing Businesses] was invited as a speaker and he opened the discussions with an address on local strengths, smart technologies and India’s evolving role in global manufacturing. The day also offered a chance to network with people across the industry and exchange ideas along the way.
The 108th Annual General Meeting of our Company was held on 23rd September 2025 at the Birla Sabhaghar in Kolkata. The Meeting was presided over by Mr. Adhip Nath Palchaudhuri, C&MD in the presence of Functional Directors, Company Secretary, members of the Finance Team and the shareholders.
SBU: Industrial Packaging (IP) participated in the NextGen Packaging Conclave hosted by the Bengal Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BCC&I) on 1st Aug 2025 at Jio Convention Center, BKC Mumbai. Mr. Adhip Nath Palchaudhuri, Chairman & Managing Director graced the NextGen Packaging Conclave as the Guest of Honour and delivered the welcome address. Mr. R M Uthayaraja, Director [Manufacturing Businesses] was the Special Guest and Moderator for the panel discussion on “Industrial Packaging: Ensuring Efficient and Effective Supply Chain.” SBU: IP was the Gold Partner for the conclave and was represented by Mr. N V Balaji, Mr. S P Singh, Mr. Pradeep Menon, Mr. Manish Chalke, Mr. Shalin Joshi and Mr. Deepanjan Ghosh at the event.
SBU: Travel & Vacations participated as an exhibitor in the Travel & MICE Show organised by DDP at GRT Grand, Chennai on 2nd & 3rd August 2025. The event provided a unique platform to connect with top private corporates through curated 1:1 meetings to showcase our tech-driven travel services and end-to-end MICE solutions.
Vacations - Kolkata participated in ABP Tourist Spot 2025 held at Netaji Indoor Stadium from 27th to 29th June 2025. The Durga Puja holiday packages were showcased in the stall put up at the travel fest. The three-day fest had more than 160 stalls, most set up by tour operators. The fest is supported by the Union Tourism Ministry and the IRCTC and partnered by the Travel Agents Association of Bengal.
Balmer Lawrie participated in 7th Fresh India Show 2025 held at CIDCO Exhibition & Convention Centre, Navi Mumbai on 13th & 14th June 2025. SBU: Cold Chain showcased LOGICOLD Cold Chain solutions in a stall at the exhibition.
SBU: Industrial Packaging participated at the 10th National Management Convention organised by the Bharuch District Management Association (BDMA) as a Session Sponsor. Mr. Adhip Nath Palchaudhuri, Chairman & Managing Director delivered an impactful address during the inaugural ceremony, aligning with the convention’s theme: "Innovate, Implement & Inspire: Shaping the Future." The event was graced by Mr. Montek Singh Ahluwalia, prominent economist. Mr. Pradeep Menon and Mr. Shalin Joshi of SBU: IP attended the convention as delegates.
Mr. Adhip Nath Palchaudhuri, Chairman & Managing Director was invited as a speaker in the Leadership Panel at the 7th National PSU Summit 2025 organised by ET Government on 19th June at New Delhi. The Theme of the event was 'Building Future-Ready Bharat’.
SBU: Travel & Vacations participated in the 9th Edition of the Exhibition Excellence Awards (EEA) as a Signature Sponsor. Organised by Exhibition Showcase magazine — a leading publication in the MICE  (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) industry, the event was held in Mumbai on 31st May 2025. The EEA is one of the most prominent events in the MICE sector and is supported by key Government bodies such as the Ministry of MSME, Ministry of Tourism, NSIC and the Ministry of Skill Development, along with several leading national and international industry associations. The event provided an excellent opportunity for showcasing our brand and capabilities as a MICE service provider.
The modernised Industrial Packaging Plant at Chittoor was inaugurated on 9th May 2025 by Mr. Adhip Nath Palchaudhuri, Chairman & Managing Director in the presence of other Directors and COO [Industrial Packaging].
On 11th April Balmer Lawrie participated in FMCGCONNECT 2025, India’s premier FMCG Supply Chain Conference & Leadership Awards. Representing the company, Mr. Prasant Basu, Head – Sales &  Marketing, Logistics Infrastructure, joined an insightful paneldiscussion on how warehousing is the bridge that supports last-mile delivery. During the discussion, Mr. Basu highlighted Balmer Lawrie’s impactful contributions as a comprehensive end-to-end logistics service provider, showcasing how the company’s innovations in logistics infrastructure and warehousing are reshaping value chains across the country, especially in the most critical touchpoints of the FMCG sector.
SBU: Industrial Packaging (IP) participated in ChemExpo India 2025, a broad-based chemical industry event, in Mumbai on 29th & 30th April 2025. It was a comprehensive showcase of the Indian chemical industry capabilities, including bulk, fine and specialty chemicals. The event was co-located with ChemProTech India and ChemLogistics India, highlighting advancements in chemical process technologies, equipment and logistics. A stall was put up at the Expo in which SBUs: IP, Logistics, Chemicals and Balmer Lawrie Van Leer Ltd. showcased their products and services. Mr. Adhip Nath Palchaudhuri, C&MD, Mr. R M Uthayaraja, Director [Manufacturing Businesses] and Mr. N V Balaji, COO [IP] attended the event besides other Executives of the Company.
Balmer Lawrie participated as Industrial Packaging Partner in the 18th Annual India Chemical Industry Outlook Conference & Exhibition organised by the Indian Chemical Council (ICC), the apex national body of the Indian chemical industry, in J W Marriott on 4th & 5th March 2025. The theme of the exhibition was “Engineering the Future: Reinventing the Indian Chemicals Sector for Enhanced Resilience,”. Delegates from SBUs: Industrial Packaging (IP), Chemicals and Logistics Services attended the event. The conference and exhibition witnessed the participation of over 700 delegates and speakers along with leaders of the Chemical and Petrochemical industry. Mr. R M Uthayaraja, Director [Manufacturing Businesses] was a panelist in the panel discussion on ‘Building resilient supply chains in the Chemicals industry’. SBU: IP also put up an exhibition booth during this two-day conference.

14th International Symposium on Fuels and Lubricants
Balmer Lawrie & Co. was recognised at the Pharmaconnect Awards 2025 and honored with the prestigious "Excellence in Cold Chain Management" Award during an event organised on January 16, 2025 at Novotel Hotel in Mumbai.
SBU: Chemicals won the Silver Award at the India Green Manufacturing Challenge (IGMC), which was received by Mr. R M Uthayaraja, Director [Manufacturing Businesses] and Members of the Chemicals team in an award function held on 8th November 2024. This recognition was a result of SBU: Chemicals successfully completing the rigorous audit conducted by the International Research Institute for Manufacturing (IRIM), Mumbai on 10th & 11th June 2024 in the Manali Plant at Chennai.
Balmer Lawrie was declared the 2nd Runner-Up in the 12th Innovation Practitioners Case Study Contest & Summit. The Balmer Lawrie team presented an innovative case study on transforming the Import Documentation Process by leveraging Robotic Process Automation on 12th February 2025. For this project, Balmer Lawrie collaborated with TechAways, technology solutions provider and Nividous, who provided the solution architecture partner. Congratulations to the team!
SBU: Industrial Packaging participated in the 11th Asia-Oceanic Steel Drum (AOSD) International Conference held at Paradise City in Incheon, Korea from 22nd to 24th April 2024. The theme of the conference was ‘Steel Drums: A Step Towards Global Sustainability’, reinforcing the drum manufacturers' commitment to addressing environmental issues. The AOSD conference is an important information window and platform for the international development of the steel drum industry. Balmer Lawrie was represented by Mr. R M Uthayaraja, Director [Manufacturing Businesses], Mr. N V Balaji, COO [IP] and Mr. Pradeep Menon, Head [Marketing] at the conference.
The Session focused on how rewards and performances require ongoing assessment, feedback and adaptation to meet the expectations of employees. The theme of the Summit was ‘The Future of the PSUs: Catalyzing Economic Transformation’. The event witnessed the participation of some top leaders from the PSU and Corporate Sector. All the sessions were very well received by the audience.

Balmer Lawrie participated in a seminar by Eastern Region Chapter of Association of Multimodal Transport Operators of India (AMTOI) held on 23rd September 2023 in Kolkata. The theme of the seminar was East India Present and Future – Role of Kolkata Port. The event witnessed members and senior dignitaries of the trade associations, shipping lines, clearing agents and forwarders based in the Eastern Region coming together and speaking on various topics and issues relevant to the trade.
SBU: Greases & Lubricants participated in Excon 2023 from 12th to 16th December 2023 at BIEC, Bengaluru. A stall was put up to showcase Balmerol brand of lubricants. Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), organised Excon 2023.n
Balmer Lawrie celebrates 157th Foundation Day across all its units and offices
The 106th Annual General Meeting of our Company was held on 27th September 2023. The AGM was conducted virtually, and this enhanced the participation of shareholders and provided a good opportunity for the Board of Directors to interact with them.
The FICCI-Navy Seminar and Exhibition, IND-SEM 2023 - Indigenisation & Self Reliance through use of Indigenous Technology towards Combat Readiness - was held on 27th September 2023 at the Naval Dockyard, Mumbai. SBU: Logistics Services put up a stall to showcase and promote their diversified services in various domains like freight forwarding, defence logistics, logistics infrastructure and project logistics.
Balmer Lawrie participated in the Engineering Conference TECHCON 4.0 based on the theme "Industry 4.0 in Oil & Gas Sector", organised by Oil India Limited on 10th April 2023 at Duliajan. Mr. Adika Ratna Sekhar, Chairman & Managing Director was invited as Guest of Honour and speaker in a panel discussion. Mr. R M Uthayaraja, Director [Manufacturing Businesses] was a speaker in one of the panel discussions in the event.
Balmer Lawrie participated in the 16th Annual India Chemical Industry Outlook Conference organised by the Indian Chemical Council (ICC) on 1st & 2nd March 2023 at The Taj Lands End, Mumbai. The Conference had active participation of nearly 100 CEOs, 600+ senior industry delegates and 35 exhibitors. On day one, a panel discussion was organised on 'Mission Atmanirbhar' at Taj Lands End, Mumbai.
Mr. Adhip Nath Palchaudhuri, Director [Service Businesses] was invited as speaker in one of the panel discussions at BCC&I's 13th edition of Annual Shipping and Logistics Conclave 2024 held on 15th March 2024.
The 157th Foundation Day was celebrated in all units and establishments across the country.
SBU: Chemicals participated in the India International Leather Fair (IILF) held in Chennai Trade Centre from 1st to 3rd February 2023. A stall was put up at the fair to showcase Balmer Lawrie's end-to-end leather chemicals products.
Travel & Vacations – Kolkata participated in ‘Travel India 2023’ on 19th and 20th January 2023, a two-day Conference and Expo on travel and tourism, organised by the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) to discuss sustainable tourism for the Future and Developing East & North East as a hub of “MICE Tourism.
